Sheryl Crow had a response about Lance Armstrong's lies surrounding the doping scandal he recently opened up to Oprah Winfrey about. The singer now finds herself at the center of the controversy because people are convinced she knew something about the fact her ex-boyfriend was cheating with drugs while cycling during their time together. He won two out of seven Tour de France competitions while they were a couple.
According to a Jan. 22 report by TMZ, she did everything she could to avoid photographers after leaving the Hollywood restaurant, Craig's, Monday night. Crow covered her face and didn't say a word to reporters.
Lance's former teammate, Frankie Andreu, claims Crow was in the room when Lance asked him and his wife to lie about the steroids, human growth hormones, cortisone, and EPO he was taking.
Crow is giving generic answers when she does speak of the doping scandal.
This was Sheryl Crow's reaction to Lance's lies in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" Monday:
"I think that honesty is always the best bet, and that the truth will set you free. It’s gotta be really hard to walk around knowing that you’re not telling the truth about something, so I always contend that the truth is the best way to go."
