Sheryl Crow, Common and Ray LaMontagne will be performing at the 2009 National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The National Park Service and the National Park Foundation announced today that the trio will join in the celebration on the Ellipse at the White House on December 3.

Additional performers will be announced next week.

A lottery, which ended on November 6, was held as a way for the general public to obtain tickets to the event. For those who wish to enjoy the tree lighting from the comfort of home, this annual kickoff to holiday events at the Presidents Park can be viewed live at www.thenationaltree.org on Dec 3 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
