Sherwin-Williams Colormix 2013 Forecast-High Voltage (Photos)

So here we have it! Our last and final Sherwin Williams 2013 Colormix palette and we are super amped up about this one, although we admit to loving them all.

When Sherwin Williams first presented these palettes in late 2012 we had not yet seen how much these looks were integrating into fashion, art and home decor. Now everywhere we go...this includes the internet...we are seeing statement making Midnight Mystery, Honed Vitality and Vintage Moxie all vying for our attention...though none quite make the statement that last and final palette High Voltage does.

The High Voltage color palette theme is that of boldness and daring self expression. Inspired by popular pop culture and alternative rocks most popular artists such as, Coldplay, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, this color palette does not stop when it comes to bright vibrant electric color.

For a while now color-blocking has been making its way across the runway and sneaking over into home decor, furniture and various electronic products, as well as the practical items we use everyday...it has now gone even bolder as bright jewel tones mate with fluorescent and neon pigments.

Clothing lines are not the only places we see this craze, nails, hair and makeup are at the extreme with glow in the dark tones that give a new meaning to made up drama. Workout gear and bicycles are also basking in the glow of extreme color.

In architecture we are inspired by those who are illuminating structures, through playing with color in lighting, which not only create washes of transparent color, but deep rich colorful bold shadows.

Neon lights with more personal messages are becoming all the rage. Art using light and color makes fantastic impressions on us and as always we are inspired by the over the top ambiance of Vegas.

This is a ‘look at me’ palette with strong saturated pigments of hot reds, vibrant pink, yellow, lime, turquoise and purple tinted blue are balanced by three timeless neutrals, black, white and warm gray which are referred to as, palette cleansers.

Bio-luminescent sea creatures and living organisms such as jellyfish also influence this palette as well as natures mineral mysteries such as earths neon black opals....but because we know a picture is worth a thousand words we have compiled a pinterest board to give you a feel for this bold and daring nonconformist use of color. We hope you enjoy and we encourage you to keep your eyes open for products in the market that reflect this vibe.
