The A-Plus University offers a variety of classes in a state-of-the-art training facility. Classes are available to members of the A-Plus network and provide instruction and training for small business owners to help them grow their business and build a loyal customer base. Courses focus on a wide range of topics involving customer service as it deals with the automotive repair industry. Other types of classes are also offered to help small business owners develop all the skills they need to launch a successful business in the 21st century.

In the “Achieving Service Excellence” program, class members will focus on the following topics:

• Improving effectiveness and efficiency within the customer service staff
• Using customer service excellence to build a company brand
• Using a customer-focused strategy to create a more profitable business
• Finding proven ways to give value to every customer
• Identifying outstanding service providers within your business
• Understanding factors that drive the customer experience today

The A-Plus University network has a proven track record of success, with businesses that participate in these classes typically outperforming competitors by as much as 10 percent. The courses are designed to help small business owners in the automotive repair industry understand the importance of the customer experience in building a loyal customer base and a healthy profit. The businesses that implement the concepts taught through the A-Plus University often find they can lower their internal costs, while growing their business effectively.

The Importance of Customer Service in Small Business
The theories taught by the Sherwin Williams A-Plus University are concepts that apply to any small business today. Studies have shown the raising the bar on the customer experience is one of the most cost-effective ways to build a bigger and more loyal customer base. Customers that are happy with the service they receive at a business will continue to come back for more of the same. They may also tell friends and family about the outstanding service, raising a customer-base by one of the cheapest and most effective modes of advertising – word of mouth.

Sherwin Williams focuses on the automotive repair industry, which offers tremendous benefit to business owners in this industry. When customers bring their cars in for repairs, they want to feel good about the company that handles the work. Automotive repair is a business that builds on word-of-mouth marketing almost more than any other, since individuals in need of work will often talk to friends and family before choosing a company for their repairs and body work.

The A-Plus University is coming to Atlanta in October, with a single course to help business owners, managers and customer service representatives learn how to focus on the customer experience. The course is open to all members of the Sherwin Williams A-Plus University network.
