The View co-host Sherri Shepherd announced Monday that she will be one of three reporters covering the Academy Awards red carpet for ABC on Oscars Sunday, March 7.
Sherri Shepherd will be joined on the Academy Awards red carpet by model Kathy Ireland and entertainment reporter Jess Cagle, who co-hosted ABC's pre-show coverage last year.
Sherri Shepherd is a cast member of the film 'Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire,' which is nominated for six Oscars on Sunday, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress for Gabourey Sidibe and Best Supporting Actress Mo'Nique.

The ABC Oscars Red Carpet 2010 Special airs at 5:00PM EDT, and is preceded on the East Coast by Barbara Walters' final Barbara Walters Special featuring nominees Sandra Bullock and Mo'Nique. The Barbara Walters Special follows the Oscars broadcast on the West Coast.
