NEW YORK, NEW YORK—EDM fans flocked to 4Sixy6 in New Jersey last night as Shermanology, best known for their chart-topping track “Can’t Stop Me Now,” delivered an electrifying performance with opening act Grand and Warren. Last night marked the third season of “4sixty6 Saturdays” where the club will host a slew of notable EDM artists each week including: Cazette, Deniz Koyu, and Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano.
Fans immediately embraced the Sherman family’s energy within minutes of the trio’s arrival on stage as Andy, the maniac behind the turntables, delivered a loaded mash-up of jaw-dropping beats accompanied with appropriate breaks to showcase Dorothy’s angelic voice. Their music sounds as pristine live as it does on any recording. With Leon at the forefront livening the audience with raw vigor and vocals, this set the stage for a performance incomparable to any other.
In addition, James Alexander and Gary Rabbit, known as their stage name Grand and Warren, prepped the crowd with their recently produced EDM tracks. The two, both Jersey City natives and friends in high-school, worked superbly together on two sets of turntables, layering catchy beats and complimenting one another well. The duo emanated a sound comparable to Hardwell or Sander van Doorn and is certainly worth following to see how their music flourishes.
Shermanology, consisting of Dorothy, Andy, and Leon Sherman, is a highly talented family from the Netherlands who have worked with numerous prominent artists in the EDM industry including: Afrojack, Avicii, Chuckie, Fedde Le Grand, and John Dahlbäck. They are most commonly known for their hits: “Can’t Stop Me Now” and “Living 4 the City” and will be the opening act for Afrojack’s appearance at Roseland Ballroom tonight, September 22nd.
