It was reported on Jul 29, 2012, that Indian model Gehna Vasishth, has claimed that Sherlyn Chopra had “paid” Playboy magazine for the cover space.

She alleged in an interview with an Indian TV channel that Sherlyn Chopra would have spent around Rs 35 to Rs 40 lakh from her own pocket to get on the cover of the international magazine.

According to Gehna Vasishth, adult magazines like Playboy do take on “paid” covers from adult entertainment actresses abroad.

The models are willing to shell out a huge sum for the coverage as it gives them a certain “standing” in the market as a Playboy cover model thus increasing their business.

She asserted that Sherlyn Chopra episode is nothing but a paid advertorial besides her own airfare and other expenses. Gehna said that a common friend of Sherlyn has given her this information.

Gehna was in the news for a poster bearing her face and bikini clad body with a resemblence to Mother Mary made an appearance on the Internet.

The model claimed that it was morphed and denied that she has nothing to do with it. The morphed image created a riot at a town near Virar about 50 kms from Mumbai.
