CNN reported today that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department carried out a felony search warrant on Justin Bieber’s home in California. The warrant was issued as a result of Bieber allegedly throwing multiple eggs at his neighbor’s home last week, which caused over $20,000 in damage. Justin and his entourage were kept in the garage of his mansion while the deputies carried out their search.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was said to be looking for eggs that could be linked to those thrown, security camera footage from Bieber’s estate possibly showing the incident and any other material that could link Justin to the crime. Any damage to property over $950 is considered a felony in California.
CNN spoke to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Don Prince on Monday and were told, “A neighbor accused him [Justin Bieber] of throwing eggs at the house, and we are investigating.”
Justin’s neighbor smartly took video of the egg throwing incident and managed to catch the pop star’s voice admitting to the crime. TMZ has published both the video and pictures of the damage Bieber is alleged to have inflicted on his neighbor’s home.
Representatives for Justin Bieber have declined to comment on the incident or the subsequent search of the singer’s home by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
