Lisa Allen of the Sheriff's office told MyFoxPhoenix.com that they believe the message originated in Mexico. Although the Sheriff routinely received death threats in the past, they believe this threat is credible because of its timing.

Well, now Sheriff Joe Arpaio is speaking out to all Americans.
"I cannot compete with the local and national media machines that distort my record and the job I’m doing to protect this country. And, I don’t have the personal resources to defend myself from these vicious attacks," said Arpaio
"You... probably saw that a federal judge blocked the toughest parts of law before it was set to be enacted on July 29th. I still support this law 100%. Even before this law was passed and the judge blocked parts of it, I was the only law enforcement official in this state enforcing all the laws that our federal and state legislatures put in place to combat illegal immigration and human smuggling," said the popular law enforcement official.
"Because I have taken the lead over the years by enforcing existing state and federal laws against illegal immigration, I have become the target of attack by radical, left-wing, open-borders extremists," said Arpaio.
When asked about the people coming to Arizona to oppose immigration law enforcement -- commonly referred to as "carpetbaggers," Arpaio said, "I’ve been sued, picketed, burned in effigy and even had the Reverend Al Sharpton come to Phoenix – TWICE! – to march on my headquarters. Some have even gone so far as to call for my assassination! Now, the Mexican Drug Cartels have issued a “hit” on me."

Sheriff Arpaio is a great and caring lawman, he cares about the people he protects and live with in his community. He is an elected official and has been re-elected over and over by his county for that reason. I wish we had more like him in this country.

I am a registered Democrat turned Independent so Obama can't call me a 'right wing demagogue'. There is nothing extremist about me. One thing I can say about this 'illegal immigration' can of worms is that it is the most profound insult to the American people of anything I have lived through in my 82 years. It is criminal, stupid beyond comprehension, and is financed by the very corporate world the Democrats, and Obama preach against. Besides being crazy -- it enables leaders in a country (Mexico for one) that has no laws; refuses to take care of its people, live like potentates, and yes have the third riches country in resources in the world. Arpaio is the most courageous person of this period in his unsupported fight to follow the law, and protect the citizens of his own country. This will be the Achilles heal of the Democrats, and Obama if they don't come to terms with the real world and rid this country of 'invaders' we can't afford. I respect you Joe.

We have at least one of those in the State of Arizona, too, right here in Pima County. Sheriff Dupnik stated, on passage of SB1070, that his department would not comply. Nice law-abiding sheriff, no? No.

We need more people like Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Sickens me to see our country going down the drain (x2 now ) with Barry at the helm. He needs to go. Stand up Americans.
I say that Sheriff Joe should be put in charge of the DOJ and the problem of illegal immigration would be fixed in a heartbeat. There are those of us that are still American enough to want this issue taken care of and not by passing another amnesty either. I am sick of Mexico dictating to our country on how to treat illegal aliens that are here, most from Mexico of course. Let's adopt Mexico's immigration laws and see how Calderon likes that.

We have men like Sheriff Arpaio who stand for protection of our citizens and enforcement of the law. The flow of illegal drugs and human trafficing are overlooked by the media and with the
