Shepard Smith of Fox News upset a lot of people when he made a comment about Robin Williams being a coward. He is now speaking out and apologizing, but it might not be enough to make people happy. On Tuesday, New York Daily News shared about what he had to say about all.

First off when Robin died Shepard made a comment during a live broadcast. He said, "Something inside you is so horrible or you’re such a coward or whatever the reason that you decide that you have to end it. Robin Williams, at 63, did that today." He didn't stop there though.

The last Instagram post from Robin Williams was a picture of his daughter. Shepard went on to say, "One of the children he so loved, one of the children grieving tonight because their father killed himself in a fit of depression." He obviously doesn't understand this disease. Social Networks went wild with people upset about what he had to say.

He issued an apology saying, "I would never presume to know anything about his private life. And if any of his family members and friends were to have seen me use the word ‘coward,’ I would be horrified. I would just like to apologize to the end of the earth to anyone who might think that I meant to openly call him a ‘coward. To the core of my being, I regret it. It just came out of my mouth. And I’m so sorry. And to anyone and their families who see that, I am sorry." Hopefully a few people will forgive him for his actions at least, but only time will tell. This is part of the hard thing about working on live television. It is a place that you have to really watch yourself.
