Being held at the very clean, resort like campground known as the Brunswick Family Campground in Brunswick, Maryland at 100 South Maple Avenue in Brunswick, Maryland. The Shenandoah Riverside Festival will take over the town of Brunswisk this evening. The festival will include food, activities, live music, camping on the river, arts and crafts and lots of socializing with various musicians.

The festival is being sponsored by Earth Korps, a non-profit organization which is attempting to handle the pollution and the garbage being found on the Potomac River. They are donating all proceeds from this festival to help clean up the river and surrounding sites so that everyone can enjoy the majestic trails of the appalachians, the beautiful scenery along the river and hiking the many trails along the river in its purest form without garbage and pollution, hopefully.

We may all do our part to keep the Shenandoah River watershed pollution and garbage free. This festival is one way in which to support and raise the funds to tackle the issue of cleaning up the river areas so it may be enjoyed by all.

Please come out and participate in the Shenandoah Riverside Festival this evening. There will be many live musicians on Friday and all day Saturday.

"What makes the Shenandoah Riverside Festival a must not miss is that not only do we cover a wide variety of music and have all weekend camping adventures, but also ALL the proceeds go to benefit the clean up of the mighty Shenandoah River. The proceeds from our earlier years made it possible for Earth Korps, (the Shenandoah's Keepers) to pull over 54,000 pounds of trash from the river. That's right folks, this is one true environmentally friendly event. Along with being environmentally friendly we are also family friendly so no excuses about not being able to come because of the kiddies!" (from the website)

Weekend passes range from $35.00 to $ 55.00 depending on when you purchase your ticket and how long you plan to stay. Parking and camping will be free. there will even be a free shuttle bus from Brunswick if the campsite runs out of parking spots. Lots of food vendors will also be at the event and there will be a lot of energy packed into this festival. Please check it out.
