Update 5/22/14: Adopted!!!

For two extraordinarily long years, Peter Pan lived his life in a Long Island, N.Y., animal shelter. Everything changed for the handsome four-year-old dog when someone finally decided to take a chance on him...after all of the months behind bars, Peter Pan had a home.

Two months passed - two glorious months of freedom and companionship...

Sadly, Peter Pan does not have a happily-ever-after. The landlord who had told his new guardian that the dog was allowed, changed his mind and Peter Pan was returned to the facility. The young dog, who spent half of his life without a family, had a brief taste of what his life should be - but now, through no fault of his own, he is once again, alone.

Please take a moment to network Peter Pan's information - he deserves to have a real life, as a beloved companion.
