A brand new Facebook group, Shelter Moms, has just been created for the horribly mistreated momma dogs in the nation. This group focuses on sweet female dogs who have been bred and dumped at their local shelters. Hopefully this group and hardworking networkers and animal lovers will be able to bring to an end the creepy procedure in which people ‘pimp’ their pets for money.

Lexy is one of the first dogs to be spotlighted in the new group. She is a living doll. According to the Montgomery County volunteers, “She is beautiful. She was very thin with four pups when she came into the shelter. She has gained weight and all her pups are gone now. She hates to go potty in her kennel and loves her walks. She really needs a chance at Foster or a forever home :-)”
Lexy is the color of a hot fudge sundae with lots of caramel and just as sweet, so hold the nuts!
A Facebook page has been created just for Lexy by people who believe a companion animal should be cherished and protected.

From her lovely photos, Lexy knows she has finally found some nice humans.

One problem and it’s a big one, Lexy is at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter in Conroe, Texas. The shelter tries hard to find homes, but even with a great volunteer program and outreach, animals must be euthanized for space.
Lexy and other Conroe pets can be viewed at the shelter’s Facebook Page:
