Doesn’t this sound a bit familiar? Trucks loaded with chemical weapons are transported between Syria and Iraq. The ongoing game of “hudna” with the truth has no restriction with the concept “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”.
Remember the shell game of “who has the chemical weapons?” was played by Iraq’s dictator Saddam Hussein? Israeli intelligence, which does a better job of monitoring what its enemies are doing , watched as Russia helped convoy Iraq’s chemical weapons into Syria for safe keeping.
Guess what? Syrian president Assad is now returning the favor and sent a convoy of chemical making hardware and who know what else back into Iraq with clear cooperation going on between the two countries.
Around 20 trucks moved the items Thursday and Friday, September 12th and 13th, from Syria into Iraq according to Lebanese daily Al-Mustaqbak , a publication known for its anti-Syrian sentiments. The newspaper claimed the trucks crossed the border between Syria and Iraq and the border guards did not inspect the contents of the trucks which generated suspicions that they contained illegal cargo according to Al-Mustaqbak.
A week ago the head of the Free Syrian Army informed CNN that opposition intelligence revealed that President Assad was relocating the arsenal of chemical materials out of Syria.
General Salim Idriss told CNN, “Today we have information that the regime began to move chemical materials and chemical weapons to Lebanon and to Iraq. We told them do not be fooled.”
Fooling around with chemical weapons was an art perfected by Saddam Hussein and apparently President Assad is following Hussein’s game plan.
Everyone knew Hussein had chemical weapons in spite of the political theater because Hussein not only gassed the Kurds which killed 5000 of them, but Hussein used chemical weapons against Iranian forces during the Iraq-Iran War killing thousands of Iranian soldiers. Those thinking Hussein did not have WMD were living in fantasy land.
Chemical weapons were used in an attack on a Syrian neighborhood that had long given Assad problems. The chemical weapons could well have been part of the truckloads of material spirited into Syria from Iraq with the Russian’s assistance.
The political buffoonery is incredible because everyone has switched roles politically concerning the WMD issue that first existed with Iraq and now is taking place with Syria. America has selectively shown its outrage by allowing Iraq to gas the Iranians since we did not like Iran, however we now show disapproval of Assad gassing his own people. There was hardly a yawn when the Kurds and Iranians were gassed by Hussein. Apparently it was ok to use them, just not have chemical weapons.
America’s confusion of its own foreign policy has reached laughingstock status. We turned over security of our embassy to a Jihadist group in Benghazi, and then wonder why there was no assistance during the terrorist attack.
We are considering to arm rebels that are al-Qaida backed in Syria, that is if we have not done so already. Master butcher Assad has massacred 99,000 civilians and murdered 1000 recently with gas….only then there is outrage.
What about the 99 thousand who have been killed? Meanwhile the United Nations continues its game of patty-cake while the biggest threat to world peace continues.
The Bible declares that God promises to “destroy the wisdom of the wise, the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate”.
Doesn’t that sound exactly like what is going on?
