Runners in Southeast Wisconsin assemble in Sheboygan on Saturday, September 28, for the Harvest Fest Half Marathon and 10 K. The event, organized by Elkhart Lake MultiSports, Inc., benefits the Above & Beyond Children’s Museum and Oscar Mike Foundation for Injured Veterans.
The chip-timed Harvest Fest Half Marathon & 10K begins and ends at the Blue Harbor Resort, 725 Blue Harbor Drive, in Sheboygan. The course takes runners along the Lake Michigan shoreline and through Kohler-Anrea State Park. Awards will be presented to top three male and female racers overall and in five-year age divisions.
Race participants receive event tech tee shirts, finishers’ medals, and refreshment coupons for the post-race party. Aid stations, portable restrooms, and mile markers are stationed along the course.
Packet pickup is set for Friday, September 27, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Blue Harbor Resort. Late entries for the inaugural event will be accepted at that time, if space allows. A pasta dinner will be served Friday evening as well.
On-site race-day packet pickup will also be available, beginning at 6:30 a.m. The Harvest Fest Half Marathon begins at 8 a.m., followed by the 10K at 8:10 a.m.
Following the race, the celebration party features food, games, kids’ activities, and live music.
