She's not Octomom, but this little Siamese has fourteen kittens!

This little lynx point Siamese came into Dallas Animal Services late last week.  She was abandoned along with her 14 kittens….yes, FOURTEEN.   The vets think most likely they’ve got one momma with two litters, but no one knows what may have happened to the missing mother.  In her absence, this brave Siamese has stepped up to the plate to care for all the kittens.

There are two brown tabby kittens, one orange tabby, one or two black & whites, and the rest are a variety of cream, buff and white Siamese and Siamese-mixes.  And one very brave, very tired mom.

The shelter is no place for kittens, so a rescue group stepped in to help.  Cat Matchers picked them up yesterday and delivered them to their new foster home, where mamma kitty will get some help with all those kittens.  But it won’t be cheap.  Supplemental formula is expensive, and as the kittens get older, they’ll need routine vaccinations, tests, and eventually spay/neuter surgeries.  Providing all that for 15 cats means the  costs start to add up - to well over $ 1,000.00!   If you can help, please donate online.  Cat Matchers is an all-volunteer, 501c3 organization funded entirely by private donations, so every penny counts – and your contributions may be deductible.
