Shayne’s husband, Nik Richie, gave his loyal readers an update on her condition on his blog, "I'm still working from the ICU. This has been the toughest week of my life, but my love for Shayne Lamas has grown tremendously. My wife is a true fighter. Her heart gave out on Valentine's Day and we had to start the rehabilitation process all over again."

Also in his post, Nik thanked his family and friends for helping him through this ordeal. He thanked the doctor for saving Shayne’s life and he gave his thanks to everyone who kept them in their thoughts and prayers. Nik reported that the prayers are working and not to give up. At the end of his post, he left a special thank you to Shayne, because she's fighting to stay alive.

Fan comments were encouraging with more thoughts and prayers going out to the family. Other posters can’t comprehend why a woman this healthy would have so many complications.

Shayne, 28, has had a tough time since her miscarriage in Feb. 9, 2014. When she collapsed in her Orange County home, they rushed her to the hospital for emergency surgery. Doctors reported that she was bleeding internally around her uterus. The doctors fixed the problem, but she wasn’t able to carry the baby past the 16 weeks.

On Feb. 11, 2014, Shayne took a turn for the better. They removed her from the ventilator system when she started breathing on her own.
