Yesterday reports surfaced that reality TV star Shayne Lamas was hospitalized and in a coma following a sudden miscarriage. E! reported on Feb. 10 that initial information may not have been accurate. Information is now coming out that Shayne was never in a coma, but did lose her baby during surgery following possible internal bleeding. She was 16 weeks pregnant.

Shayne’s father, Lorenzo Lamas, released a statement Monday night saying that his daughter is “conscious and stable.” He went on to give thanks to hospital personnel for their outstanding service that saved Shayne’s life on Sunday. He finished his statement by saying she would remain hospitalized until the doctor feels she is healthy enough to be released.

Shayne is best known for her time spent on “The Bachelor” during season 12. She is now married to Nik Richie, the founder of The Dirty.com. The couple has a daughter, Press, who was born in 2011. Shayne’s family remains by her side during this difficult time.
