Shawangunk Wine Trail adds 13th member

The Shawangunk Wine Trail has admitted its 13th member, with the inclusion of the Demarest Hill Winery announced Monday.

The winery and distillery, founded in 1998 by Francesco Ciummo, is located at 81 Pine Island Turnpike in Warwick, Orange County (845-986-4723). The facility produces brandies and grappas as well as red and white wines. You can access a listing of its products online.

“The Trail represents the best of Hudson Valley winemaking,” Ciummo said in a press release. “We are also looking forward to participating in this year’s 'Pasta Primo Vino' event, a wonderful opportunity to reach more people with our fine wines.”

Pasta Primo Vino is an annual two-day event that takes place at each of the Trail's wineries. Participating venues offer a different pasta dish to go with wine tastings. This year it is scheduled for April 13-14.
