Shattuck St.Mary's to play Czech Republic in 2013 World Sport School Challenge

According to Hockey Canada, Shattuck St. Mary's will play the Czech Republic in the championship game of the 2013 World Sport School Challenge at the Markin MacPhail Centre in Calgary on Thursday night.

In the semi-finals Tuesday, Shattuck St. Mary's defeated the Calgary-based Edge School 7-1, and the Czech Republic defeated Germany 4-2.

Shattuck St. Mary's, based in Minnesota, received multi-point performances from Brett Boeing (two goals), Marcel Godbout and Ryan Norman (one goal and one assist each) and Chase Phelps (two assists).

According to Vicki Hall of the Calgary Herald, Edge forward Danton Oliver collapsed in the dressing room prior to the semi-final game after suffering a diabetic emergency and was rushed to the Alberta Children's Hospital.

Tonight's prep division championship game of the 2013 World Sport School Challenge will take place at 8:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Meanwhile the varsity division championship game has the Okanagan Hockey Academy playing the Rothesay Netherwood School based in New Brunswick on Thursday.
