We went from Spring to Summer in just less than twelve hours! We started out with a low of 58 just after 5am and then we warmed to 86 at Philly International Airport. Sunshine gave way to clouds in the afternoon and we had some showers and thunderstorms just by dinnertime with even some small hail.
Overnight lows will be in the upper 60s with leftover showers, but it shall stay mostly cloudy; this means that Tuesday shall be overcast with light rain as a backdoor cold front pushes across New Jersey; I think it will stall out just north of Philly so I feel we'll reach the middle 80s while to the north and east it will be in the middle 70s, but fall back into the middle 60s in the late afternoon.
Come Wednesday it will be a bit cooler with that backdoor front pushing further south, but highs in the upper 70s while north and east is in the middle and upper 60s is not that bad at all. We finally kick that front back north on Thursday so highs are back into the middle 80s with sunshine, but then on Friday a cold front will be pushing through with highs in the middle 70s and heavy showers and thunderstorms. Next weekend looks dry with highs in the lower 70s.
