Sharon Osbourne ‘devastated’ over Ozzy’s drug abuse

“X-Factor” judge Sharon Osbourne is heartbroken over her husband; rocker Ozzy Osbourne’s recent drug abuse. In a recent interview with Extra, Sharon admitted that she has to accept the fact that she “will never be able to change him” no matter how much she loves him.

Sharon, 60, was speaking to Extra about her weight loss and endorsement with Atkins. Osbourne has shed twenty-three pounds thanks to her low-carb lifestyle. During the interview she touched on her thirty year marriage to Ozzy.

Sharon says “she had no idea he was abusing drugs until he released a statement to the media confession he had fallen off the wagon again.” Ozzy Osbourne, 64, released his statement back in April: “For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs. I was in a very dark place and was an a**h*le to the people I love most, my family.”

Sharon told Extra that she had no idea he was abusing prescription drugs. She confessed, “I knew he was drinking occasionally, but didn’t realize the extent. We’re dealing with it. We’re not getting divorced. However, I am devastated right now.”

Sharon did briefly move out of the shared home. During that time she focused on her television role while Ozzy Osbourne took his time to sober up and prepare for the Black Sabbath reunion tour.

“It’s a disease that not only hurts the person who has the disease, but it hurts the family. It hurts the people who love you.”

Sharon Osbourne and love her husband through thick and thin. Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon have worked through all of life’s ups and downs. Sharon says she will love and accept her husband because she loves Ozzy for who he is.
