Sharks Foundation holds toy drive for holidays

The San Jose Sharks' players and staff held a Holiday Assist Party to help approximately 40 families from the San Jose area Monday night at their practice facility with each family receiving clothing, gifts, toys and other necessities.

Event festivities included ice skating with “Sharkie Claus” at the Ice Center, cookie decorating, a photo booth and holiday Arts and Crafts as well as supplying dinners catered by California Kitchen.

Logan Couture and other players were in attendance to bring joy to the families from the Healthy Start Family Support Center by participating in events along side the children.

The H.S.F.S.C. is a student and family support program from the San Jose Unified School District whose mission is to proved services to integrate low income and families in need into the community as seamlessly as possible.

The Sharks Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives of youth and families in the community including providing emergency aid with an emphasis on Health, Education and character development as well as promoting youth hockey programs in the community.
