Tonight Hoffmann Hospice will hold its annual Light Up A Life Ceremony at 6 p.m. tonight on Lancaster Boulevard.
This is a very special, memorable community event that provides an opportunity to celebrate those individuals who have enriched our lives with a tree lighting; each light symbolizing an individual who has touched the life of another.
Individual “lights” may be purchased for $10 each in honor of someone living, or in memory of a friend or loved one who has passed. Stop by 655 W. Avenue Q to pre-purchase a light or call (661)272-2355 for more information.
There is no charge to attend. The evening will include a reading of all the names represented by the lights, as well as a unique candle lighting custom involving staff and guests passing the ‘flame of life’ from neighbor to neighbor. The tree lights will shine throughout the season.
Special guest speaker will be Lisa Solis Delong, wife, mother, Registered Nurse, bereavement facilitator and author of “Blood Brothers” which details her life with two sons with Leukemia.
