As we deal with all the controversy going on lately: gun rights, gay marriage, the federal budget way outta wack, obummer, lets take a brief pause this Easter and really think about the true reason behind all of this mess. Well, at least everything but the budget and obummer, without Christ we live in a dark and dying world, and sometimes it's just easier to concentrate on insignificant issues that really have nothing to do with where we will spend eternity.

Yes, they are important, but let's not let issues overshadow the fact that people just need Jesus! Take a look around you, you'll see all kinds of people that are dealing with all sorts of issues; personal, private, public.

What do you do? Offer condolences? Help them complete a project, or meet a deadline? Give them your time and money ? Most people really, just want someone to talk to, to sit down take the time and really listen. Many want to just be loved. Yet, (pardon the pun..) they are looking for love in all the wrong places.

When you sit down, listen to them, it will open a door for you to share what Jesus has done in your life and offer them some hope. They need to know they are not the only ones going through what they are going through, but that someone has gone through and come out for the better. Share your story, it's that simple.

Now something else to consider, it's not just the Lost, unsaved, unchurched, and unbelievers that may be going through something. Many Christians/believers have issues they are dealing with as well. Stand up, take notice, who can you lend an ear to today?

If you are looking for a really friendly place this Easter Sunday, come join me and the many others who attend Faith Family Church for our Easter service, 10 am this Sunday.
