Long Island MMA Examiner Eric Holden asked Knapp if Shannon Ihrke, Natasha Wicks and Gianna Puppo would be back for Invicta FC 7 in December, and she confirmed that all of the ladies will be in attendance for the event as official Invicta Phoenix girls.
"@EricHolden @ShannonIhrke @natashawicks @giannapuppo @InvictaFights yes they will," Knapp tweeted.
Ihrke, a standout model in the Chicago sports scene, has made a name for herself as an MMA ring girl, lingerie model, MC and much more in recent years.
Besides her work as ring girl and ambassador for Chicago sports, Ihrke is Chicago's 2013 Rock Girl for 97.9 The Loop.
Additionally, she's a Maxim regular and fashion model.
As for Wicks, she is a distance runner sponsored by Rynorunning.com, an official ring girl for Invicta FC, a model, host, dancer, actress and health enthusiast.
Wicks was the winner of the Maxim UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) Octagon Girl Search, and she served a short stint with the promotion.
Puppo, a California native, is also a fan favorite, having served as ring girl under the Invicta FC umbrella for a handful of events.
Invicta FC unveiled new outfits for the Phoenix girls at their last event, and they are expected to be a mainstay moving forward.
The new Invicta Phoenix tops are solid black with white trim, decorated with the iconic Invicta Phoenix logo brightly displayed on the left-hand side. "I really like them," Ihrke said of the new uniforms following Invicta FC 5.
The old Invicta FC uniforms were essentially solid black bikini tops and matching bottoms, without the Invicta FC logo on full display. MMA fans were in agreement with Ihrke and Invicta FC officials that the new uniforms are sexy, but more refined than in the past.
Also, the Invicta FC logo is much easier to see with the full-length pant style, so the promotion receives additional exposure in an area that would have otherwise not had company branding on it.
