Nashville, Tennessee is a city where you can listen to music on every corner, whether you're in a honky tonk on Broadway, at the Ryman, the Opry House or Bridgestone Arena. From big name artists to those just starting out, there's a little something for everyone. One of the places that almost everyone that comes to Nashville wants to see is the Bluebird Cafe. The television show, Nashville, films at this venue and has made it even more popular than it was. On any night, you can go in for either the early show or the late show and hear some amazing music.
Saturday, September 21st was one of those nights where there were a group of incredible songwriters. Most of Nashville was probably downtown at the Bridgestone to see Taylor Swift in her last of three shows but just down the street on Hillsboro Pike, people lined up early to get into the 6:30 show at the Bluebird. If you don't have a reservation, no worries, there's limited seating at the bar and pew seats. The people that were lucky enough to get into the general admission seats were in for a treat.
Shannon Cain, Jessica Roadcap, Adam Hambrick and Joel Shewmake joked, told the stories behind their songs and treated the people there to an amazing in the round performance. Adam played his song "Old Habits," which has been recorded by Justin Moore and can be found on his new album, "Off the Beaten Path." Adam excitedly talked about this song being his first cut and smiled as he said it's a duet with Miranda Lambert. Justin and Miranda's version is awesome and Adam and Jessica Roadcap singing it together was even more amazing. You haven't heard some of these songs until you've heard them done by the actual songwriters.
All these amazing writer's put on an incredible show that made people laugh and cry and everything inbetween. If you're visiting Nashville, go by the Bluebird Cafe for some incredible music, you won't be disappointed.
And make sure you look up Shannon Cain, Jessica Roadcap, Joel Shewmake, Adam Hambrick and Jeanne Petersen.
