Viewers won't be seeing Shannon Beador's friendship with Vicki Gunvalson take a turn for the worse at the "Real Housewives of Orange County" reunion. While friendships have changed drastically within a short amount of time on the show before, especially after the housewives have had a chance to see the episodes, that didn't happen with Shannon and Vicki. In an interview with OK! Magazine, posted on Monday, August 11, Shannon said that Vicki actually stood up for her a lot during the taping of the reunion special.

New housewife Shannon has been in the middle of much of the drama this past season nine. In one of the most dramatic episodes of the season so far, Shannon got into a big fight with Tamra Barney and Heather Dubrow at Lizzie Rovsek's Christmas party. It got so bad that Shannon was running around screaming, with the other housewives trying desperately to calm her down and wondering if she needed emergency medical help.

Surprisingly, one person who stayed out of the drama that night was Vicki. Vicki's lack of action that night has been criticized by many fans of the show. Many believe that Vicki, as Shannon's good friend, should have stuck up for her when she was battling Tamra and Heather, instead of just sitting there watching it all play out.

Shannon, however, isn't mad at Vicki. When asked if she was surprised that Vicki stayed out of the drama that night or if she understood why she did it, Shannon said that she completely understands why Vicki stayed silent. Shannon pointed out that the Christmas party was the first time that Vicki had brought her on-and-off boyfriend Brooks Ayers around the housewives this past season so she understandably wanted a drama-free night.

Shannon did say that Vicki stands up for her much stronger later on in the season. In particular, viewers will see Vicki fighting for Shannon at the reunion. "She is right there next to me," Shannon said. Right after filming the "Real Housewives of Orange County" reunion in mid-July, Vicki confirmed that she allied with Shannon for the special by posting a photo of them talking and smiling at each other on her Facebook page.

The big question now is how big of a fight viewers will see between Vicki Gunvalson, defending Shannon Beador, and Tamra Barney at the reunion. Vicki and Tamra have fought before but with the addition of Shannon coming in between them, it may just be the last straw for their tumultuous friendship.
