When the whole drama went down between Shannon Beador and Tamra Barney over Tamra telling Heather Dubrow about David Beador's email, in which he suggested a separation from Shannon, some viewers thought that it was a bit ridiculous of Shannon to get so mad at Tamra. After all, Shannon did decide to air her marital problems on "The Real Housewives of Orange County," so she shouldn't be so shocked when the e-mail was revealed to viewers.
In an interview with Wetpaint Entertainment, posted on Tuesday, August 19, Shannon explained why she was so shocked that Tamra told Heather the private information. She explained that the e-mail was never supposed to be brought up in front of the cameras. According to Shannon, when she received David's email, she called Tamra off-camera and asked for advice as a friend. That's when Tamra specifically told her to not bring up the e-mail during filming because doing so would hurt her kids.
Instead of following through with the plan to keep the e-mail private, Tamra told Heather about it on-camera, forcing Shannon to address the issue on the show and to do damage control with her husband when Heather spread the gossip to people not even on the show. "It was something I wasn’t planning on talking about and my ‘good friend’ Tamra said she wouldn’t either, but she decided to change the rules," said Shannon.
Considering how Tamra broke Shannon's trust by going back on her word, it would be easy to see how Shannon would say that one thing that she'll do differently if she does do another season of the show is to not be friends with Tamra ever again. Yet in a recent interview with OK! Magazine, Shannon said that she actually doesn't have any plans on doing things differently next season because she is who she is, a person who sometimes makes mistakes.
Shannon also speculated that all of the women from season nine will return for season ten of "The Real Housewives of Orange County." Clearly, Shannon Beador is not afraid to deal with whatever Tamra Barney may do to her next season!
