5-year-old Shaniya Davis was found on the second day of search where Harnett County and Lee County meet, seven miles from the Sanford hotel where she was last spotted with Mario McNeill. Her body was located within the woods located near Walker Road off of N.C. 87.
The search was in full force, literally. From helicopter, officers on horseback, fire department personnel and others, including police and sheriff deputies, everyone sifted through the woods in hopes they would find Shaniya alive. The approximate amount of 250 people searched the area.
Bradley Lockhart, Shaniya's father, stated on the CBS Early Show that Antoinette, the mother of Shaniya Davis, asked if she could be a mother with sincere intent in hopes that Bradley would give her a chance at mothering Shaniya. Bradley gave her another chance, even though Antoinette's past was riddled with troubles.
Murder charges will most likely soon follow the path of one life, possibly two. Antoinette Nicole Davis has been charged with human trafficking, felony child abuse involving prostitution, filing a false police report amongst interfering with a police investigation. Mario McNeill was arrested on first-degree kidnapping charges. Both faced $51,000 bail. However, the tides of being charged with murder may change depending upon what the autopsy proves.
The Shaniya Davis autopsy should offer more information surrounding further charges. During the autopsy of this nature whatever is found is important, such as bite marks, samples under nails, including evidence found in the vagina or anal canal. This is not to say that it's an open and shut murder case against Antoinette Davis or Mario McNeill.
If it is proven that another unidentified suspect's DNA has been found, there is a murderer on the loose. Something that should be considered before jumping to conclusions since the prosecution would rather catch the real killer with true evidence other than proving a murder case on a weak or false case.
Clarence Coe was arrested one day, released the next and has been freed of all charges. Clarence Coe was upset at the false charges against him. Leona Cromartie, Antoinette's aunt, claims that Coe was Antoinette's boyfriend, including the bombshell that Antoinette has a son, but that wasn't all. Antoinette Davis is pregnant again according to her aunt.
Fayetteville authorities have been on a search for Shaniya Davis for the last two days based on a reliable source. Shaniya Davis was found, but not alive.
The news conference was at 4:30 p.m. at the Fayetteville Police Department. Much of the information given at the 2:00 news conference did not offer more than what has been released as of now. Those in the search are "torn" up over the find.

Raleigh even began their own search support. GOLO from Wral.com has gained in posts surrounding the Shaniya Davis disappearance with information on how to get involved. Other N.C. areas were doing the same. Now that Shaniya has been found, the questions surrounding her death come to light.
Update from Fayetteville Police Department 4:30 p.m.: The body will be moved to verify the cause of death. This information will be released on a future date. No information has been given on which search person found the body. The identity of the body being that of Shaniya Davis has not yet been officially confirmed.

she was only a baby, how could anyone? her own father threw her away, by giving her to someone that did not want her from birth....what sense is that? please stop having kids you don't want and can't take care of.

Race has NOTHING to do with child abuse. Look at those "Community of Christ" lay ministers in Missouri who've been arrested for serial abuse and possibily even murder. They're all white. Stop using such a heinous crime as an excuse to practice your bigotry.
This is just so upsetting on so many levels. Is compassion or empathy not taught in our schools and in our homes? Are people's lives so devoid of meaning and gainful ways to use their precious lives that they are reduced to doing such horrific things to children, to animals, to satisfy the void in their souls? I hope that in this day and time we are not as ignorant as we portray. yes, the mother is VERY much at fault for not protecting her child and selling her for sexual favors. the dude that even thought of taken the mother up on her offer is just as sick. but the father did not know that this would happen to his angel. he was trying to be a good dad and let his daughter know she is loved by both mom and dad. To the person that likes to use that closet language that will not stand face to face to a person of that color and say that, anyway, since when have you ever heard of a killing being a certain color. Since watching this tragic event on TV, I had a hard time sleeping wondering why would this pathetic excuse of life would do this to anyone let alone a child. I have a daughter who reminds me so much of this fallen angel, lets protect our babies and make sure these monsters like Mario McNeil pay for his crime. Can't imagine that his family hasn't disowned by now. That man is the DEVIL on earth. RIP little angel
.i teared up when i heard the story i would of took thst little girl and took care of her like someone if i couldnt do it i would of tried killing your child aint worth it man why would you do something like that anyway wow its crazy yo i wish she would of gave her to me she would of been living in school having a normal life living like a kid just cant believe it.
