Shania Twain got married to her boyfriend Frédéric Nicolas Thiébaud on January 1, 2011 in a small ceremony held in romantic Rincon, Puerto Rico. Close friends and family were in attendance for the surprise nuptials. There were also armed security guards present.
The groom, Frédéric Thiébaud, is the ex-husband of the woman with whom Shania Twain's ex-husband had an affair in 2008. The pair announced their engagement in December 2010 after Thiébaud proposed to Twain in his native land of Switzerland.
Shania Twain's reality television series "Why Not? With Shania Twain" " . . . will follow [Twain] as she begins her climb back to the top, a personal journey filled with risk, revelations and unexpected adventures," according to a statement from the Oprah Winfrey Network.
