As streetwear continues to be a reckoning force within fashion (and with good reason), designers have begun to receive their credit due for not only inspiring their peers and target audiences but international fashion houses and luxury brands alike. Standing triumphant as having one of the most creative and well received shows at last weeks New York Fashion Week, Hood By Air's Shane Oliver has been named as a semifinalist for the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy Young Designer award. Oliver, amongst 29 other nominees stand the chance of winning a $400,000.00 dollar prize and a years time of mentoring from the historic and iconic luxury brand.

What once began 6 years ago as a Hip Hop go-to, Hood By Air has grown as a mega force within the fashion industry with its avant garde and edgy designs.
