Shamrock and roll: Westchester’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities, March 15-17

St. Patrick’s Day is on Monday, which means there is an entire weekend to celebrate! If you are looking to kick your heels up, drink some green beer, or just looking for some good craic, this is where you can find it:

Peekskill St. Patrick’s Day Parade: The parade kicks off in downtown Peekskill at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 15. Before the parade, enjoy brunch at the Peekskill Elks Lodge at 1038 Brown Street, from 11:00 until 1:00 PM. For adults, the brunch is twelve dollars, for kids aged 5 to 12 the price is five dollars, and kids under 5 eat free. After the parade, the celebration continues at local pubs, including Firehouse Grill, Kyle’s Pub, Red Line Saloon, Birdsall House, Ruben’s, and the Quiet Man Public House. Eastchester St. Patrick’s Day Parade: The parade starts at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 16. Continue the celebration at Mickey Spillane’s Pub at 431 White Plains Road. For more information, check out the parade’s website: http://www.eastchesterirish.org/content/view/3/4/

Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown St. Patrick’s Day Parade: The parade starts at 1:30 PM on Sunday, March 16, on Main Street in Tarrytown. Be sure to stop into JP Doyle’s for a pint of Guinness!

Empire City Casino: Legendary Irish rock bands Black 47 and Shilelagh Law will be rockin’ Yonkers on Sunday, March 16, at 2:00 PM. The concert is trackside, rain or shine.

Jimmy’s: On Monday, March 17, stop into Jimmy’s on 156 Bedford Road in Katonah for complimentary corned beef and cabbage. Make sure to get there early before they run out!
