Though you wouldn't think so at first, in a way shame and Shakti are opposites.
The Sanskrit and short definition of shakti is power. It is the force behind form, the power behind manifestation, the drive of the cosmos. It's precisely what keeps the planets in swing and the entire universe stirring and shifting.
You experience Shakti when you're creative, when you're getting visions of what's possible, when you're full of ideas, when you're feeling alive, and yes, when you're feeling sexual. Shakti shows up in you as the creative, the sexual, and the imaginative energy. It's the power before form, the drive behind manifestation...in your life.
Yet, here's the deal: if you're still plugged into the idea that sexuality is shameful (so many of us are subject to this because of our Judeo-Christian culture) then you'll have trouble believing in your power, you'll have trouble radiating your essence. You'll be challenged to be fully who you are. If Shakti energy is something you want to hide, then how can you allow yourself to shine?
This week, start to unplug from shame and reorient yourself to radiance. The cosmos wants to reveal Herself through you!
