Shakira might not be seen by the fans, but she definitely is heard. After the birth of her son Milan, she asked fans to donate to UNICEF as a baby shower gift instead of giving presents. While the outcome was expected to be good, it appears that the fans have really stepped up to give. On Saturday the entertainer shared with her fans that the support has been more than she expected.
“THANKS to all who've given to our @Unicef #BabyShower. We're overwhelmed by the support,” tweeted Shakira from her official Twitter account on Saturday. The entertainer asked for donations to help other babies and children around the world and it’s obvious the requests have really paid off.
While Shakira has kept out of the spotlight as a new mom, the entertainer will be returning to television very soon. One of the judges on The Voice, the entertainer is expected to be on the live shows later this year where she will take part in judging amateurs. Having plenty of time before she returns to work, it’s obvious she is enjoying time with her child and bonding just like new mother love to do.
