Latina pop star Shakira has already teamed up with Beyonce and now she has teamed up with Rihanna as the two are set to release their duet titled “Can’t Remember To Forget”. According to MTV.com on Jan. 6, the single is set to be released on January 13.

The collaboration is the first official single off of Shakira’s 2014 album release. Teaming up with Rihanna can only be good for Shakira. Rihanna has been apart of many collaborative hits. Pitbull was the first to hint about Shakira and Rihanna teaming up, as Rihanna was his initial choice to sing the hook for his current hit “Timber”.

In a radio interview Pittbull spoiled about the duet saying:

“That is an iconic situation there. The person we were looking at first to work on that record was actually Rihanna, and Rihanna had something she had to do with Shakira, so she wasn’t able to work on our record.”

The album will be Shakira’s first since the 2010 release of “Sale el Sol” and Rihanna is already in the studio working on next album. Both women are excited about the sexy duet that is sure to be iconic once it does hit the airwaves on Jan. 13.

Shakira will be returning as a coach on “The voice” when it enters its sixth season on February 24. She will once again fill in for Christina Aguilera.
