It has been circulating around the web that Shakira has given birth to her baby boy despite the due date is expected to be a couple months away. On Thursday December 27th, Shakira’s boyfriend Gerard Pique announced that their baby boy had arrived. According to us weekly, he tweeted a fake announcement in Spanish, “Our son has been born! We are very happy! Thanks to all for your messages.” However, it turns out that the baby has not arrived yet. Pique tweeted on Friday, “It has a name! His name is innocent! Happy Dia de los inocentes to all!” This means April fools day which is celebrated as “Dia de los innocents” in Spain and Mexico.
According to ABC News, given Shakira’s penchant for sharing things related to her pregnancy on social media, it was odd that she hadn’t announced anything yet. There is an ultrasound photo which was shared by Pique on his whosay account. According to popcrush.com, the name of the baby boy has not been released; however there are rumors that Shakira is planning on naming her son Biel.
