Shakespearean improvisational comedy comes
to Falcon.
Shakespearean improvisational comedy comes to Falcon in the form of "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)."
Written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield, the show is a fast-paced romp through all of the Bard's productions. With football (all of the histories), rap ("Othello"), bad Scottish accents (portions of "Macbeth"), cooking shows ("Titus Andronicus"), and many other treats, the show is one of the world's most popular. Wikipedia states that, "It is notable for holding the (self-proclaimed) world record for the shortest-ever performance of 'Hamlet,' clocking in at 43 seconds."
The show has been praised by the Los Angeles Times as "wildly funny" and by the Montreal Gazette as "the funniest show you are likely to see in your entire lifetime". The Chicago Tribune has called it "wild and wonderful." Whether you have any familiarity with Shakespeare or not, you are certain to love this show. You will never see Shakespeare in the same way again.
With Jared Doran directing; Falcon veterans Jay D. Benson and Thurman Allen and newcomer Chris Smyth as the sole actors; and lots of audience participation, this show is certain to be a huge treat.
