The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s acclaimed educational touring company, Shakespeare LIVE!, will present one-hour family performances of William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors and Romeo and Juliet on March 15 and 16 and April 13 at The Theatre’s Main Stage – the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue, at Lancaster Road, in Madison.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s Shakespeare LIVE! tour is part of Shakespeare for a New Generation, a national program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
The March performances are part of The Stages Festival, a month-long, state-wide celebration of theatre and the performing arts. The Stages Festival, a project of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance, takes place each March and offers discounted and/or free tickets to performances, workshops and events statewide suitable for all age groups.
One-hour family performances of Shakespeare’s popular comedy The Comedy of Errors will be held Saturday, March 16 and Saturday, April 13 at 12 p.m. at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre.
Shakespeare’s hilarious slapstick comedy springs to life in this brand new offering from Shakespeare LIVE! Two sets of identical twins, mistaken identities, and colorful characters conspire to make this caper a thrill for students and adults alike. The Comedy of Errors is appropriate for grades 3 and up.
One-hour family performances of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet will be held Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 16 and April 13 at 2 p.m. at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre. In Shakespeare’s classic tale, two idealistic teens are pitted against their privileged families and a society consumed with senseless hatred and brutality. A lyric depiction of young love, Romeo and Juliet examines the effects of violence and the redeeming power of devotion and love. Romeo and Juliet is appropriate for students in middle school and up.
