Shakespeare in the Park twelfth season begins August 2

Water Works Theatre Company kicks off its 12th season of Shakespeare in the Park at Starr-Jaycee Park in Royal Oak Michigan.

The season begins with educational workshops led by Water Works veteran Frannie Shepherd-Bates. Water Works Academy for young actors entering grades 9-12 will be held July 30-August 3 and KidsAct! for children entering grades 1-8 August 6-11.

Water Works Theatre Company will present three new professional productions during the 2012 Shakespeare In The Park event August 2-12.

Henry V, starring Michael Brian Ogden and directed by Sara Catheryn Wolf, will appear evenings August 2 to 12; our fun daylight family show, A Midsummer Night's Dream from August 4 to 12; and our original free show Summer Sonnets, on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, August 4,5,11 and 12.

And new this year: Water Works Theatre is selling beer and wine refreshments during its evening Shakespeare shows!
