Shakespeare’s comedy “Much Ado About Nothing” is coming to theaters on June 7, 2013 in limited theaters.
The 1993 version of “Much Ado About Nothing” received some thumbs up. Now we’re off and running again for a newer, more modern version.
Joss Whedon directed and shot the film in a short 12 days. He used the original text of the original Shakespeare play.
Beatrice and Benedick provide a dark, sexy look into their love relationship.
Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate will be distributing the film.
Cast:
Amy Acker as Beatrice
Alexis Denisof as Benedick
Nathan Fillion as Dogberry
Clark Gregg as Leonato
Reed Diamond as Don Pedro
Fran Kranz as Claudio
We know the writing is good on this one. Shakespeare never drops the ball in story telling. Filmed in such a short time might seem strange, however, director Whedon keeps things focused and on track. He pulls the best out of actors.
Look for “Much Ado About Nothing” in theaters on June 7, 2013.
