Dad's material will become sitcom on CBS this fall.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. So CBS, desperate for low cost programming is launching a sitcom around the 140 character comments by Justin Halperns father which he tweets as "sh**mydadsays."

The show will be produced by big names from Will and Grace and Halpern has been tapped as writer and co-executive producer.

"Sh*tmydadsays" started when Halpern moved back in with his parents and started tweeting the gems of wisdom and observations the elder Mr. Halpern spouted at various times about various people and topics.
 Some recent gems include:

Son, no one gives a sh*t about all the things your cell phone does. You didn’t invent it, you just bought it. Anybody can do that.

Nobody is that important. They eat, sh*t, and screw, just like you. Maybe not sh*t like you, you got those stomach problems.

I like the dog. If he can’t eat it, or f*ck it, he pisses on it. I can get behind that.

Justin Halpern is a senior-editor at Maxim.com, so it's doubtful all the pearls of sh*t have originated entirely from his father's mouth.

But it doesn't take much to get a new sitcom, Sh*tmydad says has less than 100 tweets.

Two questions! If there was a remake of Sanford and Son (ideal cast) would you check it out? Second. If there was a movie with Tyler Perry’s Madea vs. Fred G. Sanford, would that also be a must see? Tribute to Redd Foxx 70’s sitcom Sanford and Son.
