Yesterday San Francisco police announced they are seeking the public’s help to identify a homicide suspect who killed a 20-year-old man as he left an eastbound Muni light-rail train at Randolph and Bright streets.
Police say that last Monday night, September 23, at approximately 9:50 p.m. the victim was shot to death as he walked off the train. At this time it does not appear the suspect or the victim knew each other and the attack seems to be random and unprovoked.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. Police have not released the victim’s name.
He is described as an Asian man, approximately 20 to 30 years old with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with a purple brim and a logo above it, a white fleece hooded jacket with grey lining, blue jeans and black running shoes with white trim.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Homicide division’s Sergeant Gary Watts at 415-734-3114 or the anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444.
