The Sacramento Fine Arts Center will gladly once again feature its annual "Aspiring Artist Debut." The show is open for work by new artists who have never shown in a juried exhibition. All media from drawing, oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, photography, sculpture, and mixed media can be entered and accepted works will be available for viewing from January 29 - February 18, 2013.
The "Aspiring Artist Debut" is a free art exhibit open to high school age through adult and applications can be found at the SFAC website under "Call to Artists." The show is sponsored by Northern California Arts, Inc., located at Sacramento Fine Arts Center, 5330B Gibbons Drive, Carmichael, CA 95608. The delivery date for entries is January 19 with the first 100 entries being accepted. This is a great opportunity for artists to get their start in public exhibition of their work.
This exhibit will be accompanied by WASH, Inc. High School Watercolor Contest Show and makes for an exciting collection of works by a variety of artists making headway in their unique fashion. The exhibit run from January 29 through February 18, 2013, during open hours Tuesday 11 a.m. -7 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. A Second Saturday Reception with awards presentation will take place February 9, 2013, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
