SF's own "Mr. Irresistible" D'Arcy Drollinger talks about June 4 Sci-Fi Musical

Singer. Dancer. Actor. Actress. Director. Writer. Composer. Choreographer. No, we're not talking about Barbra Streisand. But instead it's roles of the multi-talented D'Arcy Drollinger, who has been taking San Francisco my storm ever since he arrived from New York a few years ago.

I am mugging the camera with D'Arcy Drollinger at "Sex and the City"

I, with my colleagues from, caught up with Drollinger visiting a friend at the recently renovated Hotel Mark Twain. Drollinger talked with us about his latest pet project: "Mr. Irresistible" a sci-fi musical comedy thriller that he co-wrote. With Drollinger's very busy schedule, "Mr. Irresistible" will play five performances only from June 4-8 at the downtown under utilized historic Alcazar Theatre on San Francisco's Geary Street.

Taking on such a big theatre with an original musical has brought the show a lot of attention. Drollinger tells us how he is coping with the nerves of such an undertaking and teases us about about the return of the wildly successful dragged "Sex and the City," which he will direct and play Samantha Jones once again (also in a bigger than usual venue).

To ensure its success, Drollinger has gathered a cast of San Francisco's most popular performers including J. Conrad Frank (more commonly known as Katya Smirnoff Skyy) and Joe Wicht (the drag world's Trauma Flintstone). And like Drollinger who plays male roles as well as female, our chat with Drollinger unveils if Frank and Wicht will be leading ladies or men...maybe both?

Drollinger also shares that he is so impressed with lead actress Cindy Goldfield that he is happy not to don drag and play the role himself.
