SF’s Cartoon Art Museum Launches Sunday Storytime Hour

Hey parents, need something to do with your preschool-age kids? Take them to the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco, as they are launching their monthly Storytime Hour this Sunday.

This is a new program, where between 11am to 2pm, it will take place every third Sunday every month. This Sunday, the museum will feature two books from author John Klassen, titled This is Not My Hat and I Want My Hat Back. This special event is made possible by Peet’s Coffee, with additional sponsorship provided by Discount School Supplies. Pastries are generously donated by Arizmendi Bakery, located near Golden Gate Park.

Along with listening to the family friendly stories, the Storytime Hour will also have opportunities for attendees to participate in various activities including coloring and games. And as the theme happens to be on hats (hence what this month’s book are all about), attendees are also encouraged to join in the fun by wearing your favorite hat, whether that be a baseball cap or a fedora.

As the Cartoon Art Museum’s Storytime Hour progresses, families will have each month to learn a new author/artist. The program is free with general admission, so there will also be a chance to view the museum’s exhibitions. Log on to www.cartoonart.org for more information.
