15-year-old boy scares off robber with his BB gun

South of San Francisco in Mountain View, a 15-year old boy scared off robbers with his BB gun.

The boy had been playing with the BB gun at his friend's house when the friend's father arrived home. Once the father opened the door to come in, however, he was grabbed from behind by a robber and 2 accomplices, then a gun was pointed at the boy's friend.

Police spokeswoman Liz Wylie told KTVU Channel 2 news that the boy pulled back the slide of his BB gun, causing it to make a sound as though he had put a round in the chamber. The boy then pointed his BB gun at the 3 suspects and they ran off. Nobody was hurt but the suspects remain at large.
