ORLANDO, Florida -- San Francisco residents who are following top news stories are learning that Casey Anthony was acquitted of killing her 2-year old daughter Caylee Anthony, two days ago.
The story has been making top news here in San Francisco for some time. It is being covered on both news stations, ABC 7 Local and on KTVU Channel 2 News.
Casey Anthony said her daughter had drowned by accident in the family's swimming pool. The body was found decomposed several houses away in a wooded area and there was duct tape over the baby's mouth.
San Francisco resident, Jolene Cahill, says, "No matter what, whether she was guilty or not, she will never get to see that little baby grow up, she will not be there at her graduation, or her wedding. As a mom myself, I can't believe what a terrible loss she will have." (See that article here SF learns: Casey Anthony gets Not Guilty verdict)
Although she was found Not Guilty of murder, Anthony was still found guilty on four counts of lying to police and wasting their time and resources. She was given one year jail time for each of those counts and fined $1,000 for each one too.
