SF Giants 2012 World Series Championship Ring unveiled (Photos)

SAN FRANCISCO---Prior to Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals, the members of the 2012 San Francisco Giants received their World Series Championship Rings.

Each player, coach, field manager, general manager, and trainer present was handed a ring designed and produced by Tiffany & Co. from Giants President & CEO Larry Baer.

“It is an honor to be in the unique position of presenting the second championship ring in three years,” said Baer through a press release. “This ring symbolizes the difficult journey the 2012 team traveled to reach the pinnacle in our sport. It is a proud day for our organization and for Giants fans everywhere.”

The 2012 team’s historic playoff run is immortalized through the design of the ring. On both sides are seven round diamonds representing the organization’s seven world championships. On one shank, the player’s name and uniform number is featured along with a cable car. On the opposite shank, the ring features the team’s postseason series records leading to their World Series win. On the face of the white gold ring is the Giants’ “SF” logo in 52 round melee diamonds. “World Champions” is featured on the top and bottom of the ring.
