Glam. Slam. Thank you, ma'am. Sexy star Lauren Jackson, knows how to put on the ritz when the show's on the line. Her primary role isn't in a movie or rolling down a runway but WNBA forward/centre Jackson has definitely got style.
The Australian basketball pro is considered by most Aussies as the most competitive player down under and has been said to be one of the best players in the world.
Finishing out nearly a decade of participation in the Summer Olympics, Lauren picked up two silver medals with The Opals (Australia's women's national basketball team) losing to her lover and her foe, The United States.
While the outback is her hometown, Seattle is where her heart is now.
Drafted by the Storm in 2001, she's worn the Storm logo ever since and Jackson's commitment was never more prevalent than in last night's clinching victory over the Conneticut Sun, guaranteeing the Storm a place in the playoff run.
In an interview with ESPN, Lauren Jackson's coach Brian Angler said, "She's an ultimate competitor. We gave her the option whether to play or sit out, and she didn't even hesitate that she was going to play.
The 6"5 Jackson played for nearly 30 minutes in the game, scoring 17 points and going perfect at the line. The complete package for the night's game, Jackson blocked 4 shots, pulled down 5 rebounds and one steal - Not including the Storm's position in the playoff run.
A competitor on the court and a beauty with the ball, Lauren Jackson is no stranger to a shape-up. Known for her comebacks post-injury and consistency in practice, Jackson says keeping up with her fitness makes her "feel more confident and play better ball".
In an interview with WNBA.com, Lauren Jackson revealed her top stay-in-shape secrets.
